Lainey has been rolling business out to market since she was 17.
With a Masters in Writing for Film, and a love for mentoring people in various capacities, Lainey has run a Deportment School, an Acting Agency, A Team Building Company, Worked in Recruitment, run a Film Company and built Just Start IT with her hubby in 2013.
Just Start IT is a Project Based Learning, SCSA Endorsed, 20 week High School program that teaches teens how to create and take to market their own tech enabled start up business. Just Start IT is endorsed and partnered by Curtin University, Catholic Education, and West Tech Festival and runs in up to 40 high schools each year.
Most importantly Lain is a mom of 2 beautiful children who learn differently. After homeschooling for 2 years very successfully, Lain saw the difficulties faced by many, including a lack of access to socialisation and capacity building opportunities. And so Cap A Village was born.
Steve has been rolling business out to market since he was 11.
After school Steve joined the army, after which, he studied to become an Accountant and then spent over a decade consulting for Ernst & Young and KPMG in South Africa and Australia. He consulted on Strategy, Risk, Process Improvement and Project Management.
Over the past 17 years, his focus has been in the technology startup space. Being involved as co-founder on several startups as well as consulting to hundreds of startups internationally.
As co-founder of Just Start It, Steve has been training mentors as well as mentoring startup teams since the inception of the Just Start It Program.
Today, as the founder of The Healing Stage, Diana is a skilled specialist in drama therapy and is dedicated to helping children and their families. With a degree in psychology and professional certifications in drama education, dramatherapy and child psychology, she has extensive experience using drama tools to improve the learning, behaviour and emotional competencies of young children, especially those with special needs. She believes in a child-centric approach and looking at the world through the children’s eyes. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing the ukulele and helping injured animals heal.
